Network Submissions
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions related when submitting a network.
The qualifications for submitting a network are 1 channel with 2 users, and 5 global users minimum. You must have an actual domain name
and you must have an email associated to that domain name to submit with. You can view all the requirements on the network submission page.
In most cases this is due to you having a /LIST delay, which means you must be connected a certain amount of seconds before doing /LIST. This can be specified when submitting your network, so resubmit and verify you checked that option.
I submitted my network, but got an email saying my NETWORK token did not match. What does this mean?
All IRC networks have a NETWORK token that is configured through the IRC daemon. If do a /quote version on your IRC client, you will be returned with something similar to this:
libcurl/7.83.0 OpenSSL/1.1.1o zlib/1.2.11 nghttp2/1.46.0
AWAYLEN=307 BOT=B CASEMAPPING=ascii CHANLIMIT=#:10 CHANMODES=beI,fkL,lH,cdimnprstzCDGKMNOPQRSTVZ CHANNELLEN=32 CHANTYPES=# CHATHISTORY=50 CLIENTTAGDENY=*,-draft/typing,-typing,-draft/reply DEAF=d ELIST=MNUCT EXCEPTS are supported by this server

WALLCHOPS WATCH=128 WATCHOPTS=A WHOX are supported by this server
As you can see in the example above, the NETWORK token is "TechNet". This must match the name of the network you are submitting. This is required by RFC standards.
Most of the submission process is automated. However, we require one final manual verification by an IRC Driven staff member before adding the network to our indexer. This should take no longer than 24 hours in most cases.
